Berban the cat, black with white belly,
overheard rumors from cats in back alley;
that somewhere there's a cat's coat just like his
but tanned its belly black in the sun, though not with ease
"A hard task to tack with," he thought

So he start to tan his belly, with every chance of sunlight.
no one in the family knows his plot, except the girl
who said to him one day,
"you can't tan furs black, you silly cat!"

Berban paused and give it a thought
